Download Quantum Espresso package

From a terminal, type :

 $ rsync -av root@192.168.15.202:/root/Q-E/ Q-E/

remember that the root password is 12compaq34.

Or you can download from espresso-4.0.4.tar.gz

Unpack the tar archive:

 $ tar xvzf espresso-4.0.4.tar.gz

To view the tutor machine, use

 $ gvncviewer 192.168.15.202

Now donwload XCrySDen-1.5.17-bin-semishared.tar.gz and unpack the tar.

To set a new PATH edit the ~/.bashrc file and add the line

 PATH=$PATH:/home/username/where_there_is_the_xcrysden/

and then reload your bash with

$ source ~/.bashrc
